Welcome!

The St. Mark’s Youth Group is a community of young people who journey together in faith, friendship, and service in Christ’s name. 

Youth Group meets on the first and third Wednesdays of the month during the school year from 6-7:30PM. We begin with a brief contemplative service of Holy Eucharist in the chapel and then continue in the Youth Room with food and fellowship. View our meeting schedule for the year.

Other Youth Group offerings and activities include trips, the St. Mark’s Acolyte Corps, and service opportunities. We are going to the Taizé monastery in France in February, 2024. Registration is now closed.

Summer Service Trip to South Carolina

for St. Mark’s Youth (9-12th Grade)

Monday, August 19 - Sunday, August 25

A group of St. Mark’s Youth will travel to South Carolina for a week of service on St. Helena Island. The island is home to a large Gullah community, and many of their houses are in dire need of repair. A new nonprofit, the St. Helena Gullah Housing Project, has been formed to meet this need and we will volunteer with them.

The inspiration for this trip comes from St. Mark’s member Margaret Roscoe, who has first-hand knowledge and experience of this place and its people. We will stay on Spring Island, where Margaret has a family home. 

The cost of the trip is still being determined but will likely consist of airfare (NYC to Savannah, Georgia) plus food and one or more rental vehicles.

This is a special opportunity to serve in Christ’s name, bond with St. Mark’s friends, meet new people, learn about the history and culture of the Gullah community, and have a great time in a beautiful place.
