VUCA Series -Sunday Morning Adult Education

Crisis and Opportunity in a VUCA World

Adult Forum

Sundays 9-9:45 a.m. beginning September 20

The world is in crisis.  The U. S. military describes this state with the acronym VUCA, --Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous.  The Chinese character for crisis is the same as that for opportunity.  So, as ancient Chinese wisdom would have it, we live in a world of opportunity.  Jesus expects us to seize this opportunity.

During the fall, parishioners and special guest speakers will share their perspectives on this emerging new world. Together we, as individuals and as a church, will listen, learn, discern, and discuss questions such as:  What is happening in the world?  What does the future look like?  How will our organizations and institutions evolve?  What do we need to do to prepare?  What does the Church have to learn from the world?  What does the Church have to offer the world?  What can we do, as people of faith, to make the world a better place?

Childcare is provided in the nursery school wing from 8:45-11:15 a.m.
