Vestry & Nominating Committee

The Vestry serves in mutual ministry with the Rector to lead St. Mark’s, with a particular focus on matters of property and finance. The Senior Warden and Junior Warden are the lay leaders of the vestry, and together with the Treasurer, Clerk and Rector serve on the Executive Committee of the parish. The Officers and Vestry are elected from the congregation each year at the Annual Parish meeting, having been nominated by the Nominating Committee in an open process. The most effective and transformative vestry is composed of members with a variety of gifts. To learn more about St. Mark’s Vestry and whether you might be called to this ministry, just speak to any members of the vestry or call the church office.

“Almighty and everliving God,
source of all wisdom and understanding,
be present with those who take counsel for the renewal and mission of your Church.

Teach us in all things to seek first your honor and glory. Guide us to perceive what is right,
and grant us both the courage to pursue it
and the grace to accomplish it;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.”
